Global Commodities Holdings launches new website

Commodity market development specialist Global Commodities Holdings has revealed a new look and feel for its client-facing website.

Ready for expansion

Global Commodities Holdings CEO Martin Abbott explained: "We are focused on applying the model that was pioneered by our founding brand globalCOAL to a wide portfolio of commodities -- especially those in the sphere of energy transition critical materials. Our company needed a new virtual home to showcase our ambition in expanding in all these commodity markets."

The company recently launched a trading venue for Class 1 Nickel spanning full-plate cathodes, briquettes, powder, pellets and rounds, with a wide range of permitted origins and delivery points.

It is now exploring opportunities in manganese, bauxite and alumina, and lithium.

A logo rooted in history

The new website also showcases Global Commodities Holdings' new logo, elements of which reflect its links to its coal market brand, globalCOAL. "The development model we are bringing to nickel and other metals commodities is rooted in the success we've had in bringing price transparency to the thermal coal market over the last 25 years," added Martin Abbott. "It was important to us to display those credentials in our new branding."

About GCH

Following more than two decades of providing a standardised, transparent marketplace to the international seaborne coal market, Global Commodities Holdings has expanded its offering by adapting its model to provide a venue for the trading of physical metal commodities based on standardised T&Cs. The objective, verifiable pricing data generated by sales and purchase activity on the platform is used to generate robust benchmarks, calculated on the basis of a tried-and-tested methodology. This transformative model has been applied to the market for Class 1 nickel, with more metal commodities in development.
